Well worth at least twice the price!!!
First of all, these are $50 to $75 belts all day long; whether 1.25" or the wider 1.5" which I chose. The wider belt is, to me, less of a dressy look, but gives a more uniform and comfortable fit and wrap around support with jeans or heavy weight slacks. * They appear to be full grain cowhide * Since they use Chicago screws, the belt buckle is not stitched permanently into position as in most inferior belts. No stitching is used at all in the belt's manufacture, which means that everything is one piece, solid, and will not fray over time should stitching ever fail. The belt loop "keeper" is also not stitched; rather held together as a loop with a solid and heavy duty leather staple. The "Fils**" belt uses a thin wire staple at this important connection. *The use of a "roller buckle" drastically reduces buckle to belt abrasion as the belt is cinched each time the belt is put on. I have owned belts from two of the premier outfitters in the country. The "Fils**" now starts at $58 and the leather is clearly a thin split. Google split so I don't have to explain. The other belts that I have inspected were from "Cabe**". Without exception, each belt was imported, stitched together in many cases, did not have Chicago screws, and for a company with a reputation for high quality, were a real disappointment to the extent I wouldn't wear one if it were given to me. The only saving grace, was that they do carry the somewhat better quality "Fils**" belt, but only when ordered on line. A word on sizing: The accepted manner to measure a belt is as follows. I might point out that this type of measurement is best for those who do not wear shirts of drastically different thicknesses, say due to seasonal changes. This measurement is precisely accurate and provides a perfect fit for those, like me, tend to wear my blue jeans with the same weight upper garment. If you often use this belt for hunting or construction work, you can perhaps justify ordering your belt two sizes larger than your slacks. I personally found this produced a hugely over sized belt with a lengthy tongue, which proved very unsightly if not held in place by the pant belt loop. To measure which size of belt to order: Measure your current, favorite and most comfortable belt. Lay the belt out and also lay out the metal buckle all the way flat. Measure the distance from the very tip of your metal buckle, to the center of the hole in your current belt which provides a nice and comfortable fit on your current belt. In my case, this measurement was 41.5". I rounded this measurement up to 42". A properly made belt, which these belts certainly are, will place the 42" hole c. in the middle of the belt tongue, and allow you a few "fat/looser" and "skinny/tighter" holes for future adjustments. I could have ordered a 42" belt, but in that I'm tending to gain a few pounds over the years, I ordered the 44" belt just to insure that the belt would easily allow for any future weight gain, or the desire to wear a heavier shirt top if necessary. Thanks for reading this far. I don't mean to beat a simple purchase to death, but I'm certain if you follow my measurement procedure, you won't be feeling a need to exchange your belt for a different size. It's super easy to do, but why not get it right the first time? Measure twice or three times; it only takes a few seconds to do it correctly. Buy one of each; you'll absolutely love 'em!!! This is a great company, and Angie in customer service was a pleasure to deal with... :) Bob Patterson Denver, CO.
Like no belt I have ever worn. I'm not sure if it will ever wear out. Ever.
It's a terrific belt better than American Eagle Outfitters.
I ordered an All American Clothing Co. belt the other day. It's a terrific belt. I compared it to my American Eagle Outfitter belt and hands down All American is WAY better. This belt will last a long time and works great. It's also thicker. It's not very heavy. Just make sure your size is right, but if you get the wrong size don't worry because All American will UPS you the correct size. All American is a great company to do busy with.
This belt is more rugged than i could have imagined, love it! 40 waist jeans, 44 belt.
Made to last
This belt is the durable type belt my Dad and Grandfather wore to work everyday of their career. It is a thick leather with a no nonsense rolling buckle made to last. I'm so impressed I show it to everyone and always get the same comment -"that is made to last".
I normally wear a 33/34 waist, so I ordered a size 36 in this belt. It fits through the loops on all of my pants/shorts and there are 2 or 3 holes on either side of where I wear the belt so, if I lost/gained a few lbs, I would still be able to wear the belt.
You Get EXACTLY What You Pay For
Just as the title indicates, this is a HEAVY DUTY BELT. It is built solid, like a good American product should be. I may never need another belt. Customer Service was also exceptional, allowing me to make an exchange when I initially ordered the wrong size. Thank You All American Clothing Company!
can't imagine this belt wearing out it is seriously heavy duty.
American belt, F*@%k yeah.
I accidentally ordered the wrong size. I wrote them an email and they fixed my error the next day before it shipped. I couldn't be happier with the belt. Looks rich, feel durable, fits great. I normally wear on the thinner side of a 34" waist and the 36" belt fits perfect. With the buckle lined up with the seam of my crotch, the excess belt goes about 1" past my first loop. This belt fits through any normal belt loops. Unless you're going for a purposely thinner look, stick with the HD.
Thick and Chunky!
Bought the brown version with the brass buckle. Nice craftsmanship. It looks to be good for a decade or more.
