Birth of an American Company

What happened�

Lawson felt quite fortunate to have a job he enjoyed and an income that supported his family. He believed his future promised a comfortable retirement. Unfortunately he didn�t see the bump in the road. As Sales Manager for a USA Made blue jean company, he believed he was doing the right thing; selling a product that is as American as �Mom, Apple Pie and Baseball�. Then came the day when he found his brand label on pair of jeans in a large retail store. The immediate reaction was euphoric. Lawson thought, �My employer convinced the retailer that we had a great product�. This could lead to a prosperous and long lasting career. Then he noticed the label was foreign. He called headquarters, confirmed the tag was accurate and was faced with the shocking realization that his employer was outsourcing.

What he did about it�

This consequence would be devastating to his reputation. He also realized he was as naive as many Americans in today�s textile industry. The USA label was diminishing fast and so were the USA jobs. The end was coming. He called in his resignation the next day.

A hope and a dream�

With a hope and a dream he began a small company that would be a source of USA Made jeans for the loyal customers. That day All American Clothing Co. was born. The first year Lawson worked without an income and only family employees and family savings kept the company in business. Today on a daily basis he is grateful to be able to thank customers who understand and care about the importance of USA jobs. Those people continue to save his dream, the company, his job and his employee�s jobs.

Today the Nickol family manages the company and they intend to continue supplying the USA with products that you can be proud to wear. If one day you buy a jean and its has a card that says; �Mom, Apple Pie and Dog-gone good Jeans�, that is our way of saying, �thank you!� That USA label on the jean that you are wearing indicates you understand the importance of supporting USA jobs. We sew a diamond shaped piece of denim into the crotch of the jean which eliminates 4 seams coming together in one place and forming a knot.
