fairly thick material but to me that means they'll hold up to laundering. I agree with other review on size. I am also 10-12 and medium is perfect fit

I ordered the grey and blue in Medium. My pant size is 10-12. These fit perfectly. Launder well. Elastic at waist and draw string (which I removed). These are the best comfortable capris I have ever seen. Great for working around the house, in the yard, to run errands and lounging. One of the best clothing purchases I have made in a long time.
